Privacy Policy

Brechó Pertinho (the “app”) helps people find thrift pop-ups, bazaars and
secondhand clothing sales near them. This policy explains what data we handle and why,
in line with the data protection laws that apply to you.
1. What data we collect
- Just browsing: no identifying data. We create a random identifier on your
device (not your serial number or anything that identifies you) to count “interested”
taps and limit abuse.
- Location: only if you allow it, to show events near you. We do not keep a
history of your location.
- If you create an account: your email and, if you want, a contact you choose
to share (such as WhatsApp, SMS or Instagram).
- If you post an event: the photos, address and event details you enter. The
address and photos are public. Your contact only appears if you choose to show it for
that event.
- If you rate or report: the rating, comment or reason. Ratings appear with
your display name; reports are not shown to the host.
2. What we use it for
- Making the app work: showing events, counting interest, posting events.
- Moderation: reviewing events before they go live and handling reports.
- Connecting shoppers and hosts, when the host chooses to share a contact.
- Security: limiting spam and misuse.
We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.
3. Who we share it with
- Supabase: hosting for the database and photos.
- OpenStreetMap (Photon, Nominatim): maps and address search.
- Deno Deploy: hosting for the public pages.
- Authorities, if required by law.
Some of these services may process data outside your country.
4. How long we keep it
Past events disappear from the map after 60 days and stay archived in the host’s
account. When you tap “Delete my account” in the app (Profile), we immediately delete
your account, personal data, events, photos and ratings, except what the law requires
us to keep. If you cannot use the app, ask for deletion at
brechopertinho@gmail.com.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may be able to ask for access to, correction,
deletion or portability of your data, and to withdraw your consent. You can turn off
location at any time in your device settings. Use “Delete my account” in the app or
write to brechopertinho@gmail.com.
6. Security
We use encrypted connections and access controls. No system is 100% secure, but we
work to protect your data.
7. Children
The app is not intended for children under 13.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
